Dr Christopher Holder, Dr Heather Wolf.  Dr Lauren Schwartz and Medical Qigong Practitioner Keri Keefer also work with the Institute to integrate Energetic Medicine into Modern Medical Care. 

Dr. Heather V. Wolf is founder of the Institute of Energetic Medicine and a Clinical Practitioner and Doctor of Chinese Energetic Medicine, patient advocate, and founder of the Coalition for the Terminally Ill, Disabled, and Elderly. Her path into medicine began through lived experience. After breaking her neck in 2011, she spent years navigating severe chronic pain and complex medical complications that reshaped her life. Through the disciplined practice of Medical Qigong and energetic medicine, Dr. Wolf transformed her recovery into a calling to help others heal. She earned her doctorate in Chinese Energetic Medicine and now teaches practices that empower patients to participate in their own healing. She is also in the Harvard Medical School Global Healthcare Leadership Program.

Dr. Christopher R. Holder is a leader in the integration of Chinese Energetic Medicine, Medical Qigong, and high-performance human development. With over 25 years of experience as a strength and conditioning coach at the NCAA Division I level, Dr. Holder has worked with elite athletes from the NFL, MLB, NBA, and Olympic levels, culminating his coaching career at Mater Dei High School, where he contributed to multiple national championship programs.

In 2008, Dr. Holder began his formal training in Chinese Energetic Medicine under Qigong Grandmaster Jerry Alan Johnson, one of the foremost authorities in the field. Through nearly two decades of disciplined study, clinical application, and direct mentorship, Dr. Holder rose to serve as senior disciple for Johnson from 2018 to 2025.

Dr. Holder holds a Doctorate in Medical Qigong and a Doctorate in Chinese Energetic Medicine, along with a Master’s degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Human Movement and Sport, and dual concentration Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education focused on Wellness and Adult Physical Fitness. His academic and professional background uniquely positions him at the intersection of modern sports science, rehabilitation, and ancient energetic healing systems.

In addition to his academic and clinical work, Dr. Holder has been ordained as a Daoist priest (2011), a Christian priest (2021), and a Buddhist lama (2025), reflecting a lifelong commitment to spiritual cultivation and the integration of Eastern and Western mystical traditions.

Dr. Holder is the co-founder of the Institute of Energetic Medicine, where he is actively advancing the field beyond traditional frameworks by developing modern, applicable protocols for complex conditions such as concussion and traumatic brain injury, ALS and neurodegenerative diseases, and orthopedic rehabilitation. His work represents a new frontier—bringing Chinese Energetic Medicine into contemporary clinical and performance environments with precision, structure, and measurable outcomes.

At the core of his teaching and clinical philosophy is a singular mission: to bridge ancient wisdom with modern science in a way that empowers practitioners, restores patients, and elevates human performance.
